Diana Eggers is a cradle Catholic who grew up attending St. Andrew’s the Apostle Parish. She works as a director for the Arizona Department of Education and enjoys coaching soccer, but her greatest passion is serving God through her parish community. For the past several years, she has felt especially drawn to serving God through Youth Ministry, helping young people grow in their faith and relationship with Christ. Diana serves as a catechist for both our high school youth preparing for the Sacrament of Confirmation and our 4th–8th grade students in the Sacrament Preparation program. She also volunteers with our middle school youth through the Edge Youth Ministry program. Diana is an auxiliary member of the Legion of Mary and a member of the Seven Sisters Apostolate.
What Diana loves most about youth ministry is creating a safe and welcoming space where young people feel comfortable growing in their faith, asking difficult questions, and discovering a deeper relationship with Jesus. Her hope is that every young person she encounters knows that they are loved, that they belong, and that they are never alone on their faith journey.
For Diana, volunteering is more than giving her time. It is a way to answer God’s call to serve, share His love with others, and give back to the parish community that has been such an important part of her faith journey! She has so much energy, enthusiasm, and insight in connecting with the youth and their families, that she has improved our ministries immensely.
