Child Baptism

Once a child reaches the age of reason, which in the Catholic Church is considered to be the age of 7, it becomes necessary for the child to receive instruction prior to receiving the sacrament. If the child is in 2nd or 3rd grade he or she will join our regular First Communion classes on Tuesday or Wednesday evenings.  If the child is in 4th-8th grade, he or she will join our Family Sacrament class Sunday mornings.  An extra baptism preparation class will be held during the year, coordinated with Genevieve Rivera.  Baptisms will usually take place on Easter Sunday, and First Communions the first weekend of May.
