Fr. Samuel recently visited us to share progress on the mission in Nigeria, and ask for more help! Here is an excerpt from an update he sent:
The Via Christi Society cannot forget that St. Andrew the Apostle parish, under your leadership single-handedly completed the dining hall (refectory) for our seminarians. The remarkable progress on the work on our House of Formation has been possible due to the enormous generosity of the parishioners of St. Andrew’s. This parish has also paid for the tuition of many of our seminarians in the past two years. We are eternally grateful!
It is our hope that the collection this year would enable us to complete work on the House of Formation as the project is already in its final phase. Our needs for the current fiscal year are as follows:
1. Painting for the House of Formation (Emulsion Paint) =$32,205.33
2. Furnishing (bedrooms, library, multipurpose hall and chapel) = $20,696
3. Tuition ($1,500 per seminarian) for a total of 61 seminarians.
The photo shows the stage of work on the House of Formation that the generosity of St. Andrew's parishioners has made possible. Please be generous in continuing to partner with Fr. Samuel!
