Did You Know?

that sometimes things just ‘come together’ in such a way that it is easy to see the Hand of God in all that happens?
It has happened over the past three weeks, beginning with the Ordination of Binh Ly and Randi Buros to the Diaconate. It continued in one of the most Spirit-filled and joyful Vacation Bible School weeks, with over 200 children and youth participating and being led by a wonderful group of volunteers. Then, many of our parishioners helped to fill the Cathedral for the Ordination of Fr. Carlos Nagore to the Priesthood and his First Mass that evening! Then came Corpus Christi Sunday and the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the dedication of our ‘new’ parish church, Fr. Carlos’ Mass of Thanksgiving, the block-long Procession of the Blessed Sacrament, and then the celebration in honor of our newly Ordained Deacons, Randi Buros and Bihn Ly! Such a grace-filled time! And what a great spirit of community, with so many of our wonderful parishioners participating and helping and praying and praising! It was a truly a time of amazing grace! AND THEN, concluding this week, we joined in the Nation-wide Consecration to the Sacred Heart of JESUS on Friday evening, with Fr. Carlos as the celebrant! Again, this has been a time of so many graces, as our Parish came together around Holy Orders, the Blessed Sacrament, and the Sacred Heart of JESUS! We are grateful to the Knights of Columbus for providing the Prayer Booklets and Prayer cards for the Novena and the loan of the beautiful icon of the Sacred Heart from the State Knights of Columbus for our Celebration! Greg; Associate Chaplains: Fr. Rob, Fr. Sesugh, and Fr. Jude.
