Fr. Sesugh (pronounced ‘SESS-OOG’) is a member of the Via Christi Fathers, the same Community as Fr. Samuel Jandeh, and has recently arrived from Nigeria. Fr. Sesugh is not ‘replacing’ anyone on our Staff but is a very welcome addition! Fr. Sesugh is 42 years old, born in Benue State (Nigeria) on 4 April 984, and was Ordained to the Priesthood on 22 July 2017. He has served as the Vocations Director for the Via Christi Society and has also served as a Parish Priest, and Chaplain of several hospitals and Nursing Schools in Nigeria. He has also served as the National Spiritual Director of the Via Christi Society Associates. He brings a very rich and varied experience as a Missionary Priest to us and we are blessed to be his first American Parish! He begins his ministry among us on Monday, 13 April, so let’s make him feel very welcome! Fr. Rob Neske continues to serve us so generously as our Parochial Vicar and Fr. Bob Gonzales continues to serve us so generously, now beginning his third year as Priest-in-Residence! We are very blessed by these Priests who provide us with such outstanding service and pastoral care and are happy to welcome Fr. Sesugh to our Pastoral Team! Congratulations to our own very talented musicians and singers, who participated in the Sierra Vista Symphony’s Gala Spring Concert, featuring Beethoven’s 9th Symphony: Rebecca Williams, Kuni Blacklock, Michelle Mitchell, Jolene Fernald, and Maryann Hockstad. (Cecelia Kjolsrud, Insun Pottebaum and Mark Pottebaum from OLM also performed! Our Pam Enright plays in the orchestra. Bill Purciello, Steve Conroy, Pam and Kevin Enright serve on the Symphony Board! Our Parish and our whole Community, are blessed by the talents of our musicians and singers!
A BIG thank you to all – for the Easter greetings, cards, and extra prayers! May our Lord reward your goodness to us!
