Join us at the Knights of Columbus Columbian Hall, as we will be celebrating the 36th ACA Kick-off with two sittings: Luncheon at 12:00 and Dinner at 6:30! Bishop Kicanas will celebrate the 5:00 PM Mass next Saturday evening and join us for the Dinner following! This Lunch/Dinner is a GIFT given to the Parish by the our Knights of Columbus, Bishop Salpointe Council #4584 - each year for the past 36 years!
Our Parish ACA Team, headed by Les Orchekowsky, is inviting the whole Parish to join us for one of these two fun events, and to celebrate the generous blessings that we have as a Parish Community!
Rather than focusing on the amount of money donated, we are encouraged to look at our ‘attitude of gratitude’ for our Diocesan Church’s wide spectrum of ministries! As you know, for Catholics, our sense of identity and gratitude stretches far beyond our Parish boundaries! Each Parishioner is, in fact, a “stakeholder” in the Diocesan Church of Tucson, and not just a Parishioner of St. Andrew the Apostle and Good Shepherd Mission!
In order for us to become a Parish, 68 years ago, our fellow Catholics from around the Diocese of Tucson, helped to provide us with the resources that we would need to succeed!
An “attitude of gratitude” is always the mark of maturity in a believer – and when we express our gratitude for our Church – local, Diocesan, and global – that gratitude always spills over in so many blessings!
There are so many ways in which our lives and ministry together as a Diocesan Church are impacted by the Annual Catholic Appeal!
While we never expect equal amounts of giving from our Parishioners, because each Parishioner’s (and Parishioner-Family’s) economic situation is unique, we do look for equal generosity – a donation which reflects the gratitude we have toward God for His Church and our part in its living Presence in Southern Arizona for these 68 exciting years of ministry in Sierra Vista!
Please prayerfully consider your ‘attitude of gratitude’ – for our Parish and our Church – and plan on making your donation – of ANY amount – and enjoy a fun Parish Family get-together at a great lunch or dinner!
AND join our Bishop Kicanas for Mass Saturday evening at 5:00!!!
