That one of the most exciting developments in the spiritual life of our Parish in the past few years is the extraordinary growth in Eucharistic Adoration!

As part of the National Eucharistic Renewal taking place these three years – we have seen a tremendous growth in Eucharistic devotion, Adoration, Processions, and awareness! Being one of the five Jubilee 2025 Parishes in our Diocese has brought a number of visitors and they have expressed appreciation for the availability of Adoration at St. Andrew’s!

Adoration on First Fridays has been a long-standing practice of our Parish, but so many groups, ministries and individuals are choosing to spend time in quiet adoration before Christ in the Blessed Sacrament! Among the groups who have regularly scheduled times of Adoration each week are: 3rd-5th Grade Religious Ed (Sunday), Spanish Rosary Group (Monday), Confirmation Classes (Monday), Men’s Prayer Group (Tuesday), Middle School Religious Ed Classes (Tuesday),Charismatic Payer Group (Tuesday), Our Lady of Perpetual Help Novena (Wednesday), Noche de Alabanza Prayer Group (Wednesday), Hijos de Maria (Children) (Wednesday), First Communion Classes (Wednesday and Thursday), Family Holy Hour (Friday), Life Teen (Friday), Secular Carmelite Order (Saturday), Seven Sisters Apostolate. Some of these groups meet daily, some weekly, and some monthly – and no matter what the group, any one is welcome to join them for Adoration – no group in our Parish is “closed” to other Parishioners but welcomes you to join them in this most beautiful of prayers! Whether alone or worshipping with a group of your fellow Parishioners, the effects are powerful and striking! It has been widely observed that in parishes where Eucharistic Adoration is regular and not just occasional, marriage is strengthened, people report greater peace in their personal and family lives, Vocations increase, and people come to Confession more regularly. This should not be a surprise to anyone, because our Lord has said: “If I be lifted up, I will draw all men and women to Myself!” (John 12:32) Spending even a few minutes with the Lord in the Blessed Sacrament can and will transform your day!

The verse on the altar cloth in the Divine Mercy Chapel reads: “Hic Amor Aeternus Habitat”:

“Here Love Eternally Dwells”. Those who spend quiet time in His Presence find this to be true!

(The ‘code’ for the door of the Divine Mercy Chapel is 1-9-5-8 (the year that the Parish was founded!) and the Divine Mercy Chapel is lighted 24/7.
