If you think that the Lord may be calling you to a deeper commitment to Ministry, we invite you to speak with one of our Priests or Deacons about your interest.
Applications will need to be submitted in the next two weeks, and an Information Session is scheduled for 10 July at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Benson!
The Diocese has provided the following information regarding the Common Formation Program of 2030: Information will be given at the July 2025 Information Sessions. • Psychological Interviews will be scheduled. • All applicants must be in full communion with the Roman Catholic Church. • Permanent Diaconate Applicants must be between the ages 40 and 60 at the time of application. Applicants should not have small children still residing in their homes as we do not want to compromise the critical value of family life. • For Lay Ecclesial Ministry Candidates there is no age requirement. Certification does not guarantee employment (paid or volunteer) in any Parish.
We are certainly aware of the enormous impact and leadership of our Deacons and our Lay Ecclesial Ministers (LEMs) in our Parish! Our Parish (any Parish!) cannot maintain the level of dedicated and energetic Ministry without them! Prayerfully consider if the Lord may be calling you to look more deeply into the possibility of serving the Church as an Ordained Deacon or a Certified Lay Ecclesial Minister – and speak to one of our Priests or Deacons about your interest – as soon as possible!
Congratulations to our Larry Powers, who was elected State Secretary of the Knights of Columbus at their recent State Convention!
